Acura Dashboard Lights & Their Meanings
Your vehicle communicates with you via warning lights, so you should never ignore these signals and always try to respond accordingly. While these lights may vary depending on your model, you’ll likely come across the following indicators:
- Seat Belt Reminder Indicator: This indicator blinks, and the beeper may sound for a few seconds when any seat belt is unfastened. Make sure you and your passengers fasten seat belts before resuming your commute in Punta Gorda.
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp: This lamp comes on if there is a problem with the engine’s emissions control systems. If a misfire in the engine’s cylinders is detected, this lamp will blink.
- Low Fuel Indicator: This indicator comes on when the fuel reserve is running low.
- Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) Indicator: This indicator comes on if there is a problem with the ABS.
- Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) System Indicator: This indicator blinks when VSA® is active.
- Low Tire Pressure/TPMS Indicator: This indicator comes on if the tire pressure of any
- of the tires becomes low. It will blink for about one minute, and then stay on if there is a problem with the TPMS with Tire Fill Assist, or when a compact spare tire is
- temporarily installed.
- Safety Support Indicator (Amber): This indicator comes on if there is a problem with one of the safety support systems. It may come on temporarily when the Maximum Load Limit is exceeded.
